'5 movies and the word' is a faith-based film festival that provides opportunities for audiences to be empowered by stories from around the world that explore and promote Christian values.

The festival is a celebration of creativity and is fully supported by City Church, Calabar - a Life Development Church led by Tony Aleogena Raphael which exists to bring people to Jesus Christ, to connect them with other members of the Christian family, help them grow in their faith, equip them to serve others and celebrate God.

5 movies and the word 2018 - the maiden edition of the festival, holds on Saturday 21 July 2018 at The Big Tent, 98 Marian Road, Calabar. Entry fee for the day- long fête which programs 5 empowering movies - including a special showcase, is Three Thousand Naira only (N3,000.00).
